Jabal Rahma, Arafaat

Jabal Rahma (Mount of Mercy) marks the area where Adam and Hawa were reunited on earth and sought forgiveness. This is also where pilgrims gather on the 9th Dhil Hijja, the focal point of the Hajj.

Shabeka Graveyard

This graveyard is where some of the pagan Arabs used to bury their daughters alive prior to the advent of Islam. It is also believed that Sumayya bint Khayyat, the first martyr in Islam is buried here.

Jannatul Mualla

Jannatul Mualla used to be the main cemetery of Makkah. It is the place where Prophet Muhammad's wife, grandfather, and other ancestors are buried.

Jabal Nur

Jabal Nur contains the Cave of Hira where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the first revelation.

Muzdalifa - Masjid Mash'arul Haram

Muzdalifa is where Hajj pilgrims arrive after sunset from Arafat on the 9th Dhul Hijja. Here they collect pebbles for the pelting of Jamaraat.

Makkah Al Mukarramah Library

It is widely accepted that the library (built in 1951) sits on the site where Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was born.
