Jabal Omar Hilton Makkah and Convention Center hosted recently, the 11th session of the Executive Council of the Conference of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The Executive Council was headed by the Minister of Isl amic Affairs, Call and Guidance and President of the Executive Council Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh.
The General Manager of Jabal Omar Hilton Makkah and Convention Center Motasem Al-Allaf said that hosting the Executive Council of the Conference of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is a belief in us being the largest facility for international conferences and meetings in the Holy City of Makkah. Additionally, the fact that the Hotel is equipped with the required technology and sound infrastructure reflected positively on the meeting session.
The session witnessed the participation of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Pakistan, Egypt, Gambia, Indonesia, Kuwait and Morocco.
Several issues relating to strengthening the intellectual and methodological moderation, countering radical thought and the Arab-Islamic cultural dialogue with the West and East were discussed. Furthermore, the discussion included enhancing the role of youth and managing their talents, as well as qualifying imams and expanding their role.
Jabal Omar Hilton Makkah and Convention Center has a 3,500m2 of total convention and flexible space, including eight multipurpose meeting and boardrooms, a 1,650m2 ballroom that can house over 1500 people.
Jabal Omar Hilton Makkah and Convention Center is located in the center of Makkah in the area of Jabal Omar, a short distance from the Kaaba and 60 minutes from the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
