Dh49,000 fine, deportation for breaking this rule during Haj

The Passport General Department of Saudi Arabia stated that it is illegal for pilgrims to travel without Haj permits.

Violators will face SRD50,000 (approximately Dh49,000) and six months imprisonment. Residents breaking the law will face deported,  according to Al Madina.

Assistant Commander of the Passport Forces of Haj Administrative Affairs, Major General Nayef Bin Sultan Al-Ruwais called all citizens and residents to follow Hajj rules, adding that the action will be taken against the violators.

During his visit to Makkah on Tuesday, Al-Ruwais checked the committees that are responsible to control and inspect all Haj permits.

"All committees are ready and will have the responsibility to view all violation cases and decide suitable penalty," reports said.
