Commander of Umrah security forces heads meeting on upcoming Hajj season

The Commander of Umrah security forces, General Officer Khalid bin Qarar al-Harbi headed a meeting of the leadership of the Hajj security forces at the headquarters of the General Security in Mina to resume its responsibilities for the upcoming pilgrimage season with the presence of the deputy commander of the Hajj security forces and all other security commanders.

The meeting discussed the preparations of the Hajj security commanders in implementing their duties in Mecca and the holy places to protect the safety and security of the pilgrims and to facilitate the performance of their rituals

“His Excellency stressed the importance of joint efforts to complete field arrangements and raise the level of readiness and preparation for the implementation of the plans in accordance to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God preserve them – as well as the unlimited provision presented by the state to serve the guests of God and facilitate all the ways to maintain their security and safety and to allow them to perform their rituals with ease,” a statement on SPA read.

The commander of the Hajj security forces underlined the importance of direct supervision of the leaders in the preparation stages for the implementation of the security plans, and called on the security forces to devote their efforts in the service of God in every field and location.

The commander elaborated saying that the successful implementation of the Hajj plans requires everyone to spare no effort in preservation of the continuous improvement in the level of achieving the objectives of the security tasks, and called on everyone to raise the pace of preparation for the next phase, which coincides with the arrival of pilgrims to Mecca and the holy sites and work collectively at a high pace to ensure the continuation of the successes achieved at the security level.

During the meeting, his Excellency reviewed the security, traffic, regulatory and support plans, which took into account new developments, plans and ways of implementation, as well as the supervision of the technical regulations to verify that the pilgrims have acquired their Hajj permits for the holy sites and the documentation of any violators.

The Commander of the Hajj security forces emphasized the importance of preventing the arrival of non-organized pilgrims, and the continuation of follow-up patrols in the field and continued follow-up against the violators of the Hajj system inside the holy sites.
