Amal by Malaysia Airlines Adds More Capacity for Umrah Charter Flights

Amal, the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage arm of Malaysia Airlines, and Andalusia Travel & Tours today signed an agreement to increase the number of Umrah charter flights to Madinah and Jeddah.

Targeted for the upcoming Umrah season, the contract is an addendum to an earlier agreement between the two companies for a 3-year collaboration, signed in April 2018. 

Through this agreement, Amal by Malaysia Airlines will be mounting up to 102 Umrah charter flights from 19 September 2019 until 1 June 2020, which is 48% more compared to the current Umrah season. 

Held at Andalusia Travel & Tours Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, the agreement was signed between Amal Chief Executive Officer, Hazman Hilmi and Andalusia Travel & Tours, Director and Legal Advisor Puan Hajah Ida Riswana Idris and was witnessed by Amal’s Head of Commercial, Yazid Mohamed and Andalusia Travel & Tours Executive Chairman, Dato Ustaz Hj Md Daud Che Ngah.

It is a privilege to be able to transport close to 50,000 pilgrims for the upcoming Umrah season with Andalusia. This demand for additional flights reflects the trust Andalusia has with Amal and demonstrates the confidence of our passengers in our services.”  

“In the current season, Andalusia Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd only chartered 69 flights; however, for the upcoming season, we wish to add another 33 flights bringing the total to 102 flights to cater to the demands of pilgrims to fly with Malaysia Airlines. Malaysia Airlines, the pride of the nation is known for its reputable service, and our pilgrims are excited to be flying on the A380-800.

Amal will be utilizing the spacious A380-800 aircraft, with unique pilgrim centric in-flight features such as Talbiyah, Doa , Azan on board, Tazkirah on board, Miqat announcement as well as amenity kits to offer an experience for the pilgrims underpinned by Malaysian Hospitality.
