An official source from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has revealed details regarding Hajj 2020. So in this article, we will tell our readers about Hajj 2020, all they need to know about it.

The three years Policy for Government Hajj Scheme 2020 is to be announced by mid-December.

It is expected that Hajj applications will be received from January 2020. The Government Hajj scheme package will remain the same.

On Dec 4th, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed with Saudi Arabia for Hajj arrangements.

More than 200,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj 2020. Balloting will be used to finalize the applicants who will be performing Hajj during the first, second and third year. Balloting will be done by the end of Jan or early Feb 2020.

Those applicants who get selected for the second and third years are not required to deposit the whole amount of the Hajj package.

They do have to submit a token fee, though, that ranges from Rs100,000 to Rs150,000.

The Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) will be issued quota letters earlier in comparison to previous years. E-visa facility will be issued to the pilgrims.

40:60 ratio will be the Hajj quota for private and government schemes.

The training for Hajj rituals will be introduced on the 3D system. The transport system will be improved for the government Hajj scheme. Furthermore, the Road to Makkah programme will be extended to Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar.
