The Saudi embassy in Amman has announced that registering the biometric verifications (finger and face print) will be a basic requirement for all umrah and Hajj visa applicants starting November 5, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.

The Govt. of India has agreed to continue 21 embarkation points for sending Haj pilgrims from India to Saudi Arabia. In addition to it, it has also agreed to continue reserved category of Haj pilgrims of 70-years and above.

The Lagos State Government has appealed to the pilgrims to help change the society for better. Its Home Affairs Commissioners Dr AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef tasked the pilgrims to play their roles in ensuring a safer community. This, he said, would entrench the kind of development many are yearning for.
