The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) has released its first accreditation list for Hajj 1441/2020.

The list contains the accreditation of 3,500 hujjaj, the quota granted to South Africa by the Hajj Ministry in Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj Ministry says it will consider an additional one thousand hujjaj as requested by Sahuc.

SAHUC Moaaz Casoo says the early release of the accreditation list helps prospective hujjaj plan for their hajj journey.

“The hujjaj will have until the 26th of January at 6pm to either accept or defer their accreditation and Insha’Allah all the hujjaj will have until the 2nd of February 2020 at 6pm to select an accredited hajj operator for the Hajj season 2020.”
