61 gates for entry and exit of worshippers at Grand Mosque in Makkah You are here: Home News 61 gates for entry and exit of worshippers at Grand Mosque in Makkah Thursday, April 14, 2022 MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque has allocated 61 gates for the entry and exit of worshippers, including 17 at the third Saudi expansion, 23 at the King Fahd expansion, 7 at Al-Masaa area and the gate of Ajyad bridge. This is in addition to allocating 4 gates for emergency services and 10 for services. About 330 employees participate in organizing the entry and exit of worshippers through certain gates to ensure the flexibility and flow of movement. Also, 35 praying areas for men and 30 for women were prepared at the second Saudi expansion, in addition to preparing several routes that are allocated to guide the visitors of the Grand Mosque so as to ensure a flexible movement of crowds.
