52-year-old man walks 6500 km to perform Hajj in Makkah

* Along the treacherous journey, some drivers supported Muhammed by pushing his cart that had most of his survival supplies

* The 52-year-old man befriended a dog in Serbia which has accompanied him on the 6500-kilometre trek through nine countries

A British man has completed an odyssey on a journey of faith that started in England to the Holy city of Makkah.

Adan Muhammed started his 6500-kilometre journey christened the 'Peace Journey' in August 2021 and along the way befriended a stray dog that kept him company on his long walk.

The 52-year-old devout Muslim crossed nine countries, including Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands

According to Gulf Today, Adan also walked through Turkey, the Czech Republic, Syria, Romania, Jordan and Bulgaria.

Adam said he endured many challenges in the arduous journey, which included harsh weather.

On his arrival to the holy city where pilgrims venture on their journey of faith, he said:

Adan was received by elated residents of the Saudi kingdom and was greeted with kisses and hugs amid shouts of "Mabruk" and "Allah Akbar".
