Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Thai Muslims in the southern Yala province exchange experiences on Hajj pilgrims and learn of health issues related to the religious duty.

Provincial Health Office of Yala organized the public event “Hajj Forum” on Tuesday for mostly 200 pilgrims who have planned Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca next year.

Nima Makaje, Deputy Governor of Yala who chaired the meeting, said the pilgrims learned about healthcare instructions such as communicable disease prevention and health checks.

Hajj Forum also gave participants knowledge about regulations to ensure their safe journey and all obligations for Hajj pilgrims, he said.

Training and giving instructions to the participants were 115 health volunteers.

Each year, about 1,000-1,300 Muslims in Yala attended the Hajj.
