Friday, April 19, 2019

Shiekh Khalid Atiyah, the head of Iraq’s supreme Hajj committee announced the formation of a higher committee to accelerate the provision of the necessary services as Saudi Arabia agreed to increase the number of Iraqi pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia has agreed to increase the number of Iraqi pilgrims to 50,000 pilgrims.

Iraqis have not taken their share of the pilgrimage to the God’s Holy House during the past decades because of the wars and difficult conditions experienced by Iraq, Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi’s office said in a statement.

Abd al-Mahdi and his accompanying delegation performed the rituals of Umrah, prayed at the Kaaba, and supplicated for wellness, security and stability for Iraqis, the statement added.
