Tuesday, May 24, 2022

Since March 2022, Muslims around the world have been deprived of the pilgrimage, which is one of the 5 pillars of the Muslim religion, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has upset the world, and which continues to do it. However, this year 2022 sees the resumption of Hajj.

The National Office of Hajj and Umrah in Algeria revealed that the cost of Hajj for this season 1443/2022 is estimated at 856,100.00 Algerian dinars, including airfare.

In a statement published on its official page, the National Hajj and Umrah Office called on faithful pilgrims qualified to perform the rites of Hajj this year to follow the administrative procedures and steps in the following order:

Go to the services of the municipality as soon as possible to obtain a document attesting to the person’s ability to perform Hajj for this 2022 season.

Go to the health commissions of the wilaya, accompanied by the qualification document issued by the services of the municipality or the pilgrimage book, to carry out the necessary medical examinations and vaccinations, and to obtain the health book and the qualification certificate toilet to perform Hajj rituals.

Go to the vaccination centers against Covid-19 accompanied by the biometric passport and the national identity card to collect the health passport containing the QR Code, and this for pilgrims who have already been vaccinated against Covid-19. As for pilgrims who have not been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus, they will have to proceed to this step and be vaccinated against the Coronavirus in order to obtain a health passport.

Finally, the National Office of Hajj and Umrah confirmed, through the same press release, that the rest of the required administrative steps and procedures will be announced later, according to the deadlines set for them.
