Kingdom served 54 million Haj pilgrims over 25 years: GaStat

According to official statistics released by the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat), the total number of Haj pilgrims who were served by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the last 25 years reached 53,928,358.

5,625 Bahrainis to perform Haj, 21 per cent increase from last year

THE first group of pilgrims will travel across the border from Bahrain today as the annual Haj season starts. A total of 5,625 pilgrims from Bahrain are expected to travel to Mecca this month via 59 registered Haj operators, which is a 21 per cent increase from last year.

Makkah governor inspects reception center for Hajj pilgrims

JEDDAH: Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal inspected a Hajj reception center on the Makkah-Jeddah highway on Tuesday. The center will be completed by next year under the direction of the Hajj Ministry and the Makkah Development Authority. The center includes parking spaces that can accommodate more than four thousand vehicles.
